## What it is

An MCP server and CLI from the Chrome DevTools project that lets coding agents control and inspect a Chrome instance via Puppeteer.

## What it’s for

Use it when the agent needs to verify the interface it generated, debug network and console, or measure performance in the browser.

## Benefits

- Records performance traces and extracts insights, with CrUX field data
- Analyzes network requests, captures screenshots and reads the console with mapped stack traces
- Includes skills for debugging, accessibility, LCP and memory leaks

## Caveats

- Apache-2.0 license; requires Node.js LTS and stable Chrome
- Usage statistics collection is on by default and can be turned off; browser content is exposed to the MCP client
- Likely match: the video frame specifically showed the shadcn MCP, not this one
