## What it is

daisyUI is a free, open source component library distributed as a Tailwind CSS plugin. It adds semantic classes such as btn, card and toggle.

## What it’s for

For building interfaces quickly with ready-made components and themes, without writing long lists of utility classes.

## Benefits

- CSS only, with no JavaScript dependency, compatible with any framework
- 68 built-in components and 35 themes, with a theme generator
- Semantic colors based on CSS variables

## Caveats

- According to the site, it cuts 88% of classes and about 79% of HTML compared with plain Tailwind, in its own example.
- Free and open source; templates and a Figma library are sold separately.
