## What it is

An open source command line (gws) covering Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs and other Workspace APIs, with JSON output and skills for agents.

## What it’s for

Use it to let an agent read email, calendar, spreadsheets and Workspace files without manual integration.

## Benefits

- Commands generated at runtime from Google's Discovery Service, so new methods appear on their own
- --dry-run, schema introspection and automatic pagination
- Interactive login, service accounts and encrypted credentials; optional prompt-injection checks with Model Armor

## Caveats

- Apache-2.0 license
- The repository says it is not an officially supported Google product and that breaking changes are expected before v1.0
- The video's demo requires OAuth with broad scopes and Node 18+; scheduling failed in Cowork because the CLI wasn't in the sandbox
