## What it is

The Zoomquilt is a collaborative infinite-zoom painting, created by Nikolaus Baumgarten in 2004 and navigable in the browser. The page credits the illustrators who took part.

## What it’s for

For seeing a classic of interactive web art built on continuous zoom.

## Benefits

- Continuous zoom through 46 nested images, each half the size of the previous one
- Fullscreen mode
- Downloads as a Mac screensaver, an Android live wallpaper and a 4K video for screenings

## Caveats

- The 4K video for screenings points to licensing details on the page itself.
